What are the Students' Favorite Modus of Cheating?

Advocating to the highest level of policymakers makes for excellent research utilization. This is the case of University of Mindanao’s research on cheating in online classes starting in the pandemic, which started as a published Scopus journal in 2020 and became a published book in 2024. The book, now titled Pedagogy of Fraud, was the first of its kind in the Philippines patterned after the online surveys on the same topic in the US and Europe.

UM Study Shows that 77.4% of Dabawenyos Prefer Cashless Payment Platforms

The University of Mindanao Institute of Popular Opinion (UM -IPO) conducted an online survey from December 5 to 25, 2024, gathering 1,550 responses from Dabawenyos in the three districts of Davao City to know their opinion on the effects, benefits, and disadvantages of using cashless payment platforms.

Campus to Global Spotlight: How CTE Student Represents UM in AYIMUN 2025

Tashnem Cariga, a 4th-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) student, had the privilege of representing the University of Mindanao at the 16th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN). The prestigious event took place from January 17–20, 2025, at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It provided an invaluable platform for youth leaders from around the globe to discuss pressing global issues and propose actionable solutions.

UM Triumphs in Fostering a Unified Community

In line with its mission to provide a dynamic learning environment through one of its fundamental functions—extension, the University of Mindanao (UM) successfully celebrated the Community Extension Congress on February 20, 2025. This annual event serves as a platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and strengthening the university’s commitment to community development. This year’s congress was actively participated by various UM campuses. These campuses came together to showcase their respective community extension programs, share best practices, and develop new initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable community engagement.

120 Residents Received Free Medical Services from CHSE UMagapay Program

The College of Health and Sciences Education (CHSE) successfully conducted a Medical Mission on February 22, 2025, in Barangay Catigan, Davao City. This event is part of the University’s extension program and highlights the college’s continued dedication to offering accessible healthcare and fostering health literacy in local communities. This medical mission is part of the college flagship program called “CHSE UMagapay”.
