How UM Shape Students' Futures?

The University of Mindanao, spearheaded by the External Relations and International Affairs Office, successfully conducted its annual Industry Appreciation Program last February 14, 2025, held at the Cagliari Hall, Matina Campus. In line with the celebration of love month, this has become an avenue for all the partnered industries to gather and celebrate the partnerships made throughout the year.
The Industry Appreciation Program is an initiative by the University to acknowledge the contributions of its partner industries in enhancing students' overall experience during their time at UM. It is also the time when the university gives awards to those outstanding industries.

This event specifically aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which focuses on Quality Education. It aims to promote lifelong learning opportunities, ensuring that students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary for their future careers and for achieving academic excellence. In relation to SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals, this program enhances collaboration with local industries through cooperation and participation in various projects aimed at sustainable development.

Partnered industries gather to honor their collaboration and the imparted knowledge on different batches of interns the University sent to the respective industries. This initiative is a testament to UM's continued commitment to excellence and innovation. It serves as a platform for fostering stronger relationships between academia and industry. By bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, this event highlights the invaluable contributions of both the interns and the industry mentors who guide them to bolster their skills. Through these alliances, UM continues to polish diamonds, hone talent, and cultivate a generation of leaders ready to make a difference in their fields and the world.
