UM Ranks 1st In The Scopus-Indexed Publications

The University of Mindanao secured the top position in the Davao Region for Scopus-indexed publications, according to the GHF Research Excellence Award data for 2024. UM is tied with UP Mindanao, as both institutions have published 35 articles. Following closely is Ateneo de Davao, which has achieved an impressive total of 34 Scopus-indexed publications.

10,000 Grade 12 Students attended the 7th Davao Oriental Fair

UM proudly participated in the 7th Davao Oriental School Fair held on March 7-8, 2025, at A57 Techno Park, Mati City, Davao Oriental. This highly anticipated event gathered nearly 10,000 graduating Grade 12 students from the 1st District (Boston, Cateel, Baganga, Caraga, Manay, and Tarragona) and 2nd District (Banaybanay, Lupon, Mati City, San Isidro, and Governor Generoso), providing them with valuable insights into their higher education options.

The University of Mindanao (UM) and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) have signed an agreement to develop an industry-ready workforce. UM President Dr. Guillermo P. Witness UM's Unwavering Support To Community's Welfare

The University of Mindanao, through its Community Extension Center, organized the "Superhero Hygiene: Power Up with Clean Hands and Bright Smile" program at Prisco D. Diolosa Elementary School located in Biao Guianga, Tugbok District. This significant community outreach effort, coordinated by BPE students from the University of Mindanao as part of their BPE 311 Coordinated School Health Program and BPE 312 Personal, Community, and Environmental Health courses, sought to promote vital hygiene habits among Grade 3 students.

UM Drone Academy Completes 3rd Drone Pilot Certification Training

The UM Drone Academy, in partnership with Aerial Maneuver, successfully hosted its 3rd Drone Pilot Certification Training from February 28 to March 2 at the PS Building, University of Mindanao, Matina Campus. The three-day event provided in-depth training on drone operations, safety protocols, and regulations aimed at certifying drone pilots for various professional applications.
