Building Bridges for Careers

The University of Mindanao (UM) and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) have signed an agreement to develop an industry-ready workforce. UM President Dr. Guillermo P. Torres and CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera attended the signing ceremony held at Clark Visitor Center on March 20, 2025.

This event marks a significant milestone in UM’s continued strategic expansion and its unwavering commitment to producing graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge demanded by high-growth industries, as evidenced by this collaborative endeavor with the Clark Development Corporation, a key economic driver in the Luzon region.

This partnership aligns with UM's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals.

This sealed agreement between the UM and the CDC is a monumental step towards fostering a more industry-aligned education system in the country. It demonstrates a proactive approach from both an educational institution and an economic development organization to address the growing needs of the workforce and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
