World Class UM Chorale Receives Its Third Ani ng Dangal Award

The esteemed and globally renowned University of Mindanao Chorale, an ensemble deeply embedded in the rich tapestry of Filipino artistic excellence and celebrated for its consistently breathtaking performances, has once more been distinguished with a highly coveted accolade at the prestigious 17th Ani ng Dangal Awards. Presented by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), this honor celebrates Filipino artists who have brought pride to the country through international victories.

This recognition serves as a powerful testament to the dedication, talent, and unwavering commitment of Filipino artists who have not only excelled within the nation's borders but have also ventured onto the global stage, achieving remarkable international victories and, in doing so, bringing immense pride and honor to the Philippines.

Accepting the award on behalf of the UM Chorale were Tim Atencio, UM Chorale Conductor, and Jeric Telen, UM Chorale Adviser.

This honor has just shown how UM Chorale solidifies its legacy as a consistent beacon of artistic excellence and a source of pride for the University of Mindanao, the Davao Region, and the entire nation, inspiring future generations of Filipino artists to strive and strengthen the enrichment of cultural tapestry through their talents and perspectives. This year, 39 awardees were recognized across five artistic disciplines: Architecture and Allied Arts, Cinema, Dance, Music, and Visual Arts.
