University of Mindanao Makes Its Debut in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026

Davao City, Philippines – From earning a prestigious 3-Star QS Rating earlier this year, the University of Mindanao achieves another remarkable milestone as it debuts in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, placing within the 1301–1400 bracket in Asia and 203rd in Southeast Asia.

Davao City, Philippines – Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. The University of Mindanao produced another topnotcher this year. Nadzer Casan Abbas, Top 1, in the Foresters’ Licensure Examination (FLE) of October 2025. Alhamdulillah! He got a whopping score of 93.95%. Apparently on record, Nadzer C. Abbas, or Pao to his friends, holds the highest score in the history of FLEs in the Philippines. Before Pao, the highest record holder was Freddie S. Palermo, the Top 1 in 2018 from the University of the Philippines-Los Baños with a score of 91.80%. Last year in 2024, the Top 1 was Neña Rose Arnaiz Corpin from the Biliran Province State University, with a score of 92.60%.

Davao City – The UM team, composed of President and CEO Guillermo P. Torres, Vice President for External Relations and International Affairs Dr. Reynaldo Castro, and Quality Assurance Manager Rochelle Asuncion, is joining the official Philippine delegation organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), led by Commissioner Michelle Ong. The entire delegation is engaging with top global education leaders at the summit. This high-level attendance is centered on the theme: “Advancing Generational Potential: Skills and Partnerships in the Asia Pacific,” serving as the critical platform for UM to forge strategic international linkages and benchmark its educational framework.

Davao City, Philippines - The University of Mindanao attended the 19th Annual Review Meeting of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) programme last November 4–6, 2025, in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Linkage Officer Ms. Izza Montederamos represented the university at the event, joining other representatives from Philippine AIMS member schools and the Commission on Higher Education.
