UM-DU Partnership Advances Biodiversity Research in 2024 ERASMUS

Biology experts from Daugavpils University, Latvia, once again joined hands with their counterpart researchers from the University of Mindanao, Philippines, for another enthralling Scientific Research Expedition. During a five-day fieldwork period, the UM-DU team explored the Apo-Talomo Mountain Range in Davao to examine several of its diverse mountain ecosystems.

This event, which followed the University's recent collaboration with Epson Precision Philippines Inc. in January 2024, was specifically tailored for the institution’s Engineering graduates.

Beneath the Numbers

As of April 2024, PRC bared the country produced 12 Top 1 placers in different licensure examinations for the year. A closer look revealed that of the 12, only UM in Davao produced three Top 1s. The University of the East (UE) produced two but come from different campuses. The rest of the schools produced only single Top 1.

Forty-five students from the English, Filipino, Math, SST, and BPE programs of the College of Teacher Education participated in the 2nd International Conference on Social Wellbeing and Human Development (ISWHD) on May 2, 2024.
