UM System Shines in the Prestigious EQUATE Awards

The University of Mindanao proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone as three of its campuses—UM Main, UM Digos, and UM Tagum—were honored among the top Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) nationwide in the prestigious Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Awards held on April 2, 2025, at The Manila Hotel.

Out of 1,553 TEIs across the country, only 120 were recognized, and UM stands out as the most awarded higher education institution in Mindanao, with multiple campuses receiving national recognition. This achievement affirms UM's steadfast commitment to quality education and continuous improvement in the field of teacher education.

This milestone aligns with the United Nations’ SDG 4: Quality Education, reinforcing UM’s mission to provide inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education across the region. Indeed, a well-deserved award!
