Voices of Victory: UM Chorale Triumphs in Himig Handog Competition

UM Chorale members receive their winning prize during the Himig Handog Chorale Competition in Tagum City

The University of Mindanao Chorale clinched the top spot during the Musikahan sa Tagum Festival held on February 23-24, 2024, marking the group’s fifth win. Led by their talented conductor, Mr. Tim Atenecio, the group showcased their musical prowess and outperformed 27 chorale groups from different parts of the country. They secured the 1st Prize in the Mixed Category, Best Interpretation of the Contest Piece, and Grand Prix Winner awards.

This victory adds to the numerous impressive feats of the group. Excelling in academia and the arts, the University of Mindanao continues to lead by nurturing talents and polishing diamonds in the rough.
