The University of Mindanao continues to lead in academic excellence, maintaining its prestigious position as the second school with the most number of accredited programs in the country by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). With an impressive 54 accredited programs, UM’s dedication to quality education was reaffirmed during the 35th PACUCOA General Assembly held on December 10, 2024, at Novotel.

School with the Highest Number of Accredited Programs in Region XI
School with the Highest Number of Programs Under Candidate Status
Recognition for Producing Top 1 in the Mechanical Engineering and Real Estate Board Exams
First Level IV Accredited Hospitality Management and Computer Engineering Programs in Region XI
Recognition for Placement in the 2024 Times Higher Education Impact Ranking
Recognition for Being Granted Autonomous Status for UM Main, UM Digos, and UM Tagum
1st Prize in the Poster-Making Contest
These prestigious awards highlight the university's unwavering pursuit of excellence in both academic programs and student outcomes.

Ma'am Rochelle Asuncion, Quality Assurance Manager, received the award on behalf of UM Panabo College at the 35th PACUCOA General Assembly.
The awards were graciously accepted on behalf of the university by esteemed UM representatives, including Reynaldo Castro, Vice President for External Relations and International Affairs Office (ERIAO), Rochelle Asuncion, Quality Assurance Manager, Randy Angelia, Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEE), and Cresencio Genobiagon, Program Head of Mechanical Engineering (ME).
UM’s remarkable achievements not only reflect its leadership in academic quality but also underscore its regional and national influence in shaping the future of higher education. The university’s success in maintaining top-tier accreditation and recognition for excellence in multiple areas serves as a testament to its commitment to producing highly skilled and globally competitive graduates.

The UM delegation, led by Reynaldo Castro (VP for ERIAO), Rochelle Asuncion (Quality Assurance Manager), Randy Angelia (Assistant Dean of the CEE), and Cresencio Genobiagon (Program Head of Mechanical Engineering), accepted the award for the institution with the highest number of accredited programs by program at the 35th PACUCOA General Assembly.
