UM Receives ITSO Platinum Award

The University of Mindanao, through its Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO), proudly clinched the prestigious 2024 Platinum Award, recognizing its outstanding contributions to innovation and intellectual property advancement. The awarding happened during the ITSO Presidents' Summit and General Assembly last April 10, in Parañaque City.

This top recognition highlights UM’s leadership in promoting intellectual property creation, protection, and utilization. It reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of research and innovation that benefits both academic institutions and society.

UM’s ITSO has been instrumental in supporting researchers and students through training and other related activities. The award affirms UM’s role as a key driver of innovation in the Mindanao region.

This award is a manifestation of the SDG 4 Quality Education, which UM continues to provide and uphold.
