UM Inducts 13th Inbound Faculty Exchange Scholar from Petra Christian University

Davao City, Philippines - Expanding its global connections, the University of Mindanao (UM) reinforced its internationalization efforts on September 19, 2025, at the DPT Conference Hall with the formal induction of the institution’s 13th inbound faculty exchange scholar, Dr. Retno Ardianti, S.Sos., M.Si, Ph.D., from Petra Christian University, Indonesia.

Dr. Ronnie V. Amorado, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, opened the program by emphasizing the importance of institutional cooperation, stating that faculty exchanges remain one of UM’s key strategies to deepen academic ties, enrich teaching, and broaden research opportunities.

Consequently, Dr. Eugenio S. Guhao Jr., Dean of the Professional School, followed with remarks highlighting the mutual benefits of exchanges and formally presided over the induction of Dr. Ardianti, recognizing her academic credentials.

This milestone also advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, namely SDG 4: Quality Education, by enhancing teaching, learning, and research opportunities; SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by promoting transparent, inclusive, and accountable academic governance; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening cross-border collaboration and fostering sustainable international linkages.
