Third Consecutive Win for UM at The 11th Mindanao Research Convention

Davao City, Philippines  In a remarkable demonstration of consistency and excellence, Roel Nickelson M. Solano, Head of the BS Medical Laboratory Science Program, once again emerged as Champion in the Professional Research Poster category at the 11th Mindanao Research Convention, held on March 19, 2026, at The Farm, Carpenter Hills, South Cotabato.

Joining the UM-CHSE delegation was Prof. Joey S. Ramos, as researchers from across Mindanao convened under the theme “Converging Disciplines for Health, Innovation, and Sustainable Development.” The convention featured competitions in Research Paper and Research Poster categories, both for undergraduate and professional levels, where CHSE participants demonstrated a strong presence and exceptional capability.

This win marks Dr. Solano’s third consecutive championship in the Professional Research Poster category, reinforcing a legacy of achievement that underscores the program’s reputation for research excellence, innovation, and scientific rigor.

Beyond recognition, this milestone serves as an inspiration for aspiring researchers, encouraging students and professionals alike to engage in meaningful work that contributes to health innovation and sustainable development in the region.
