The College of Teacher Education, along with their student organization AGENT (Association of Generalist Teachers), has once again proven their dedication to education by distributing learning materials to the Bagobo Tagabawa pupils in Barangay Catigan on April 22, 2024. The activity supplements the CTE's Extension program "Pagpaambit sa Kinaadman," where the college has just concluded their 3-month Reading Intervention Program in Catigan Elem. School.

Starting from November 14 last year until February 21, 2024, the faculty members and students of CTE took turns conducting reading tutorials for pupils identified through the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) Assessment conducted by the school. After 3 months of persistent reading sessions, the contextualized evaluation results conducted by the project team revealed that the tutorial is relevant in improving the reading ability of the learners.
Cognizant of the global commitment to EDUCATION FOR ALL, the college generally aims to help address some of the impediments to education that many disadvantaged sectors like IP communities experience. "Pagpaambit sa Kinaadman" intends to bridge the gap in education, thus contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 10, focusing on Ensuring Inclusive, Equitable, and Quality Education and the Promotion of Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All.
