Guess Who's Back on the Court?

In a spirited celebration of athleticism, creativity, and community, the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Bachelor of Physical Education Program (BPE) successfully hosted the first-ever face-to-face Alumni Games 2025, bringing together BSED-PEHM, BSED-MAPEH, SPE, and BPE alumni from various batches to compete in friendly sports matches against current students of the BPE program.
Held in conjunction with the Annual Panhellenic Festival of the BPE program, the event launched on May 3, 2025, with an opening ceremony at AVR 4, followed by an afternoon of tournaments at the UM Gymnasium. Alumni gathered to reconnect and re-engage with the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship that defined their student years.

With energy and skill that defied time, the alumni proudly showcased that they still “got it.” Their performances in badminton, basketball, volleyball, and Laro ng Lahi were met with cheers and admiration, reminding everyone that the PE spirit truly never fades. In fact, alumni claimed victory in the badminton doubles event and Laro ng Lahi, while the current BPE students took home wins in basketball and volleyball mixed categories.
Beyond competition, the Alumni Games also reinforced the importance of lifelong wellness, teamwork, and active living, aligning directly with the goals of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, promoting physical activity, mental wellness, and community engagement, the event emphasized the role of sports in nurturing healthier, more connected lives.

As the sun set on a day of friendly rivalry and joyful reconnection, Alumni Games 2025 stood as a testament to the enduring strength, skill, and heart of the University of Mindanao’s physical education community, proving that though years may pass, the athlete in every PE graduate never grows old.
