College of Teacher Education Continues Environmental Advocacy with Balik Bakawan Program 2.0

University of Mindanao’s College of Teacher Education students and Lakbai Tinabangay Volunteers unite for Balik Bakawan at Bago-Talomo Coastal Road, Davao City

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) at the University of Mindanao reaffirmed its commitment to environmental successful implementation of the Year conservation with the 2 of Balik Bakawan program. This initiative, which combines coastal clean-up efforts with mangrove planting activities, took place on May 25, 2024, along the Bago-Talomo Coastal Road, Brgy 75-A, Matina Aplaya, Talomo District, Davao City.

Under the theme "A for action, Walk the Talk for Environmental Conservation," 26 participants gathered from 1 PM to 5 PM to contribute to the restoration and conservation of the coastal ecosystem of Davao City. The event, organized by the College of Teacher Education-College Student Government (CTE-CSG) in partnership with the non-profit organization Lakbai Tinabangay Volunteers, Inc., received accreditation from the local government of Davao City, highlighting the collaborative nature of the initiative.
