CBAE Students Shine at 3rd Southern Mindanao Student Business Summit

CBAE students took top honors at the 3rd Southern Mindanao Student Business Summit.

The College of Business Administration Education is proud to announce the remarkable achievements of its research students at the recently concluded 3rd Southern Mindanao Student Business Summit and Research Congress held at the Rizal Memorial College (RMC) Gym last April 8, a major event from the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business (PCDEB). More than six business schools in Davao Region participated in the research competition with the theme Artificial Intelligence in the Business World.

A notable achievement, two papers from the Finance and Human Resources program received recognition, reflecting exceptional research by our students. The study of Marinette Pepito and Jessil Pasco on “Financial Practices and Organizational Performance in SMEs” came out as the Best Paper in the competition with their adviser MR. GLENNDON SOBREJUANITE, MBA. The researchers examine the financial management requirements of SMEs in depth and define strategies for increasing organizational efficiency and sustainability.

Similarly, the human resource management program research came third in the competition. The insightful analysis of the study titled “Supporting Factoring Affecting Employee Turnover in BPO Companies in Davao City” examined the characteristics affecting employee turnover in business process outsourcing (BPO) by the following HR students Christine May T. Legaspi and Mary Amor M. Reyes under the expert guidance of their adviser MR. ARCHIE REYES, MBA.

This achievement highlights the commitment, innovation, and hard work of faculty and students. Their commitment to contributing knowledge and providing recommendations on important topics in financial and human resource management is a demonstration of the academic rigor and relevance of the CBAE program.
