A Home for Global Guests: UM Launches Condotti International House

Davao City, Philippines – The University of Mindanao proudly held the blessing ceremony of the Condotti UM International House situated on UM Matina Campus, a dedicated facility that will serve as the home for international guests—including visiting faculty and student exchange participants—for both short- and long-term engagements.

This milestone underscores the university’s commitment to global academic partnerships and cross-cultural exchange, paving the way for more meaningful collaborations with institutions abroad.

The event was graced by UM’s Management Committee Officers, led by President and CEO Dr. Guillermo P. Torres, Jr., marking another significant step forward in the university’s internationalization journey.

For this semester, UM is set to host more than 20 international guests on various schedules, representing faculty and student exchanges from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and the USA.

Beyond being a space for hospitality, the Condotti UM International House reflects UM’s alignment with SDG 4: Quality Education, by creating opportunities for international learning and teaching exchanges, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by investing in sustainable facilities that support global academic engagement.

Through this initiative, UM continues to reaffirm its role as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and global education, strengthening its presence on the international stage.
